I'm doing my own hair and makeup for my wedding day. Can you recommend great hairspray and makeup I can apply

I honestly don't know which hairspray to use, but I would recommend Revlon's Colorstay makeup. I love that stuff PLUS you can usually fine $2 coupons in the newspapers!

Good luck!I'm doing my own hair and makeup for my wedding day. Can you recommend great hairspray and makeup I can apply
I did my own makeup for my wedding too. I used BareMinerals...it is great stuff and very easy to apply. It doesn't even feel like you are wearing makeup but the coverage is great. It does cost $60 however, but I think it was definitely worth it. I am not one to wear makeup very often so it was perfect. As far as hair...my mom helped me with my hair...I have curly hair so I used curl mousse and then we just used my mom's hairspray. I think it is the Suave brand. It seemed to work pretty well. I wore my hair down though so didn't need very much. Congratulations on your wedding!!!I'm doing my own hair and makeup for my wedding day. Can you recommend great hairspray and makeup I can apply
I already answered the hairspray question...but for makeup, try anything my Bobbi Brown...she makes great stuff, especially her new Smudge Proof mascara...let me tell you...this stuff is amazing! You do need to get their special remover if you get that mascara, because that is how well it works! Doesn't clump, flake, smudge and especailly won't run if you cry!!
I Am Not Sure Of What Type Of Hairspray You Should Use. But I Used MaryKay Makeup And It Was Wonderful. I Would Try That. Good Luck And Best Wishes
I did my own too, yet forgot the hairspray. I ended up doing very well without it anyway. I normally use Redken and for make-up I do M.A.C. I kept it pretty simple, I normally don't do eyeshadow or lipstick, so these were the two items I experimented with on our wedding day. Everything turned out great. D.I.Y. beauty is much cheaper and makes more sense to me. Good luck!!
There are ALOT of makeup reps that will show you how to apply your makeup, for your special day, with a minimum pruchase. Visit the store of our choice %26amp; explain what you want.

You want something between looking washed out and the corner hooker.
I would suggest a professional for such an important occasion. That special moment is no time to be experimenting.

I'm a wreck with hair, but I love bareminerals makeup. It's quick easy and flawless. Plus, it stays on all day. It can be expensive though. A starter kit from sephora.com is like $60.
I'm not sure about the hair spray because I did have someone do my hair for my wedding but for makeup I did my own because I didn't want to look too made up or look like someone that I wasn't. I used Arbonne makeup because my aunt is a consultant but I would just reccomend any brand that carries a mineral foundation line, it's natural and it's really light so it does what it's supposed to do but doesn't make your face oily or dry, it's also so lightweight that you don't even feel that you have it on!

Congrats and good luck!

What's so great about MAC makeup?

Any makeup brand, in my opinion is good makeup, as long as you know how to put it on! I have nothing against the brand, I do use some of it, but if you see my makeup bag, it won't all be MAC brand. And for some reason, most of the women/girls that wear MAC seem to pile it on, which is gross. What's so great about MAC makeup?
Mac has very good eyeshadows as far as I know, because they last with vibrant colors. They aren't so cheap, as many may say. they are average priced because of the quality you get. If you want just as good products that are way cheaper, you can look at www.coastalscents.com . It has incredible product worth looking into. If you want a review on it, look it up in youtube and I'm sure you'll find one. Personally coastal scents is the best brand I've found other than mac so far. But I haven't tried everything, I'm sure theres more out there worth looking at :)What's so great about MAC makeup?
I like MAC for several reasons

1) They are the only brand that I have found that makes a foundation that matches my paleness

2) I love the bright colors that last all day at my job

3) The Pigments are great if I can only take a few pieces of make-up with me, since they are multi-use

Well those are all of the reasons I can think of right now but there are more
Girls these days are Label Junkies. Most girls use MAC, cause its MAC. Theirs tons of other great brands out there as well. Im not trash talking on MAC what so ever, dont get me wrong, i use their eyes shadow but MAC is not all i use. I use a mix of cheap and expensive. Plus Mac is pretty ridiculously priced in my opinion.
a lot of women use it because it gives them a matte look and they seem to like it, at least thats why my mom likes it

and its not as natural as some other brands such as Clinique and some people like that more natural look

it really just depends on how you want your make-up to look
i feel that MAC is great for its variety in colour. Escecially when it comes to MACpro. The formulas a great and last. They have everything from a primer to fix +. Other brands to me dont have everything.
honestly i see nothing great about it. its not the cheapest and it lasts about the same as other brands.
well i dont use MAC for the simple reason that its not in my budget lol

but idk i just think its the same as any other drugstore brand in my opinion
Nothing great about it in my opinion but it is cheap and affordable for most.
It's cheap and there are tons of fun eyeshadows. What's not to love?

What color makeup looks great for bunettes and pale skin?

LightPink for some reason washes me outWhat color makeup looks great for bunettes and pale skin?
Virtual Makeover. You can play with colors and find a look you will love. Then it shows you how to apply your new look. Just click the link belowWhat color makeup looks great for bunettes and pale skin?
do u have brown eyes? if so, try shimmery shades of purple. dont put on a lot; just lightly dust a small amount of the shadow with a mini blush brush.
i had blue eyes and brown hair and i used the almay blue eyes thing try that. or use shades of brown eyeshadow
dark purple looks great... or brownish colors... a bronze would look soo amazing... or green... green makes our eyes really stand out. light pink doesnt go good because your skin is soo light.. bronze.. browns... purples would be more noticable and will look great...
I am a brunette with light skin. I use Max Factor base in true beige (best make up ever!). For blush I use a Maybelline Plushed Plum Prune (sounds awful but is beautiful on). On eyeshadows I vary from neutrals to pink/plum. And for a lipstick, I usually go with a raisin or other brown or even a plum shade (not too dark). The pinks will wash you out if your coloring is anything like mine. You may think the browns for a lipstick sound horrible for light skin but trust me and try some. If you know an Avon representative (or a Mary Kay), she might be able to give you some free sample lipsticks to try until you find the color you like. But check out the browns and plums. It may surprise you how good they look. Enjoy trying the new colors!
well im in the same posision. and seriusly, its good to highlight your eyes (eyeliner) in a brown. and then eye shadow isnt nessisarry, but your skin color looks great. sometimes pale skin can look just as beautiful if you just highlight it.
lavendar, brown, green
prob. some greens and aquas they are really cute
If your eye color is brown and you have brown hair, you should use purple eye shadow.
matte bronze lip stick at night and lip gloss during the day to simply bring out your natural lip color.
mabye a baby blue or a lighter type brown works for me .goodlck

  • Light Makeup with Great Coverage?

What is a good brand or type of makeup to coverup facial redness and acne scars? I want something that feels light and looks natural (doesn't get cakey) but still provides enough coverage so the redness doesn't come through. Any ideas?Light Makeup with Great Coverage?
use a concealer to cover up your scars and stuff, maybelline mineral concealer is good for that.

then use maybelline mineral powder foundation to go over the concealer.Light Makeup with Great Coverage?
Covergirl is amazing. Their TruBlend line is very light and pretty. Especially the mousse whipped foundation. It is very silky and blends wonderfully even if you don't have the perfect shade.
clarins. true comfort foundation. it feels like water but it gives full coverage
hd foundation n i heard revlon color stay is good!

What makeup foundation has great coverage and leaves a matte finish?

Rimmel has a ';Stay Matte'; foundation and MAC has Studio finish that is also matte finish. MAC's is good for oily skin and long wear. What makeup foundation has great coverage and leaves a matte finish?
Dream Matte Mousse! About 6 or 7 dollars at drugstores in every shade possible. (:What makeup foundation has great coverage and leaves a matte finish?
Mac studio fix is really good!! that's what all the celebrities use too!!
I love Clinique Superbalanced foundation. It's great for any skin type, and leaves a matte finish, but doesn't make your face look like a mask. It has great coverage and you only have to use a few drops, so it lasts for a long time. I think I paid just above 20 dollars for it, but it's well worth it. A lot of the foundations you buy in drug stores, you have to use a ton to get good coverage. The bottle I have now has lasted me since November, and I still have quite a lot left! *and I wear makeup EVERY day*. I highly recommend it. Since wearing it, I haven't bought anything else :)
MAC studio finish or studio fix about $30 each

    covers the face up great
    Try Bare Minerals!
If you want to look freas and look like you are going natrual try bare minerals...if you want that matte look try covergirl matte
i use bare naturale (i'm not sure how to spell it) by loreal.

it works really well...it covers your skin but still looks natural

Where Is A Great Place To Get Awesome and Cheap Makeup?

More specifically for the eyes? Thanks a bunch. If you want to know some specific colors, something for dark brown asian eyes, my eyes are a little puffy so eyeliner i need. thanks again, a store not a website plzWhere Is A Great Place To Get Awesome and Cheap Makeup?
covergirl is the cheapest but nicest--non allergenic that isnt a reall store or designer brnd like clinique or chanel. try walmart or any drug storee. Where Is A Great Place To Get Awesome and Cheap Makeup?
NYX and Milani are the two best drugstore brands. Milani is kind of like a MAC knock off, and NYX has great pigmentation in most of their pigments and eyeshadows.
E.L.F. is great. They sell it at target, and almost everything is just $1. Even though you don't want a website, you can visit http://eyeslipsface.com/ to check out what all they have.
I buy my cheap makeup online, but there high qaulity though. Its called Everyday Minerals. For 10 eyeshadow its $18 including shiping.

If you dont want to order online then try loreal or relvon. There eye makeup are good quality too.

Bare Minerals Question - makeup looks great in AM, but fades by noon. Suggestions?

I think am doing all right when I originally put on and it looks great. But about 5 hours later all seems to be gone. Without having to totally redo my makeup, any helpful suggestions from current users?Bare Minerals Question - makeup looks great in AM, but fades by noon. Suggestions?
I think it is supposed to be applied a few times a day (even on top of the previous layer) , since it is so light. Besides, the powder tends to wear off during the day - this is one of the disadvantages of this type of make-up.Bare Minerals Question - makeup looks great in AM, but fades by noon. Suggestions?
hum. do u have very oily skin? u may want to try puttting the mineral veil on first, then the foundation, then bisque, then warmth, then more mineral veil. then eye and cheek color, then at the end, dust mineral veil again over the face to set. my makeup lasts very well, i have to touch up with mineral veil maybe 3 times a day or so. HTH
I've been using Bare Minerals for 5 years...

Start by putting a face moisturizer on your face. Then apply your foundation, the more your buff the better the finish. Once that is done, put the Mineral Veil on, even on the eye lids. Once done, do your eye make-up...I mix in a little of moisturizer...not too much or it will become like a liquid. Buff warmth (Blush) into your cheeks. Then for lipstick, take some foundation on put it on your lips, this will make the lipstick stay on longer. Once all done, again use Mineral Veil.

This will make your make-up last longer. But it will eventually start coming off around evening time so you will have to re-apply.

    :o)
I have this problem too. Normally if I need it to last for a long time I'll take my finger and put a dab of the powder on it and apply it to the spots I really want to stay covered. Also if I'm really desperate I'll take some other conceler and apply it only to the spots and put the bare minerals over it. It doesn't last as long as a full application of foundation etc, but it does last longer without having all that stuff on your face. Hope this helps!

What is so great about makeup?

    eww girls dont be fakeee

lets be all natureeeWhat is so great about makeup?
Make up shouldnt cover you up, but enhance what you already have. Once you find a product you like, you may have a change of heart. What is so great about makeup?
    everything
actually, i like it cause it's fun to play around with....

but then it's fun to accentuate thing (like your eyes) too.

    but there's also a fine line between make-up %26amp; fake-ness.

it we'd just lighten up on the make-up then we'd be fine.
I like to have an all natural face, but then make-up is fun to play around with. Make-up is not supposed to cover your face, its just used to enhance your beauty.
its fun and makes you feel better about yourself when you know you look good.
Make-up hides all of the blemishes on your face...no one wants to see all of your acne.=(
umm.... yea so true i knoe a lot of girls that spend hours trying to perfect their make up.. and all i does is take up ur time and i would do something else that do that!! it is okay to wear it to special ocassions and business work and stuff but common.. everuyday??? i dont think you girls even need it
it just makes us more beautiful! but then again god gave me this face! yay!
makeup isnt that great, but girls just put it on cause it makes them feel more pretty. Also, its fun to put makeup on. liek makeovers.. see what color looks good so yeah xD

if you dont like that much makeup, all you hafta do is use those colors that look natural. =]
I know it may seem that most girls who walk around wearing makeup look ';fake';- and to some extent that's true. But that's because those girls don't know how to properly apply makeup. When you put any product on, it should appear as though it's a natural part of you- big gorgeous eyes, pouty lips, long full lashes, flawless complexion, rosy cheeks, you name it! Makeup is simply there to create a more polished look- to enhance your feautres, not to recreate them. It allows women to achieve their perfection in beauty; while some may be blessed with enviable natural beauty, other's are not. And it's those of us who ';waste time'; trying to achieve that elusive perfection. Plus, like so many ladies before me mentioned, it's just fun! I appreciate your second statement however- it's just as much fun to be natural ;)

Does anyone know any great hairstyles and makeup??

I hate doing my hair and makeup the same ole way I always staighten my hair does anyone know any cute ways to do hair and nice ways to do makeup that don't look crazy or packed on?? BTW I never wear my hair up so nothing that involes putting hair up!Does anyone know any great hairstyles and makeup??
    hey

i would definately go with gold/bronze/natural styles with your make-up. Like maybe foundation with bronzer on your cheecks and like a light glittery cream on your eyes...works wonders

    And...

For your hair go with messy syles...straighten it the add some mouse and scrunch it. or wash it and just blow dry it!!

its glam as!!Does anyone know any great hairstyles and makeup??
Put your hair in a cute clip in the back, to change things up. Keep things simple, like pink cheeks, gray eye shadow, and some shiny gloss.

    you can find it online

i get mine from this website

    i love artistry makeup

    its worth its price
wal-green got isa dora makeup it is the best i have seen you should try it and it is reasonable2
M.A.C, E.L.F. (Eyes, Lips, Face), Clair'es make up
You can go to wal mart it's cheap %26amp; the make-up works good. That's where i buy mine. Hope i helped :)
First of all, you aren't going to find good quality makeup for cheap. Makeup is one of those things where you get what you pay for. I buy only Clinique makeup, and it is great. I have never worn anything else that didn't break me out or swell up my eyes. You can get Clinique makeup from Belk, Khols, Dillards, and they also have it online. I would recommend going to an actual counter at a store, because they will do a free makeover for you and find out what is best for you. If you buy it online, you are taking a chance at the makeup looking horrible on you once you actually get it home and put it on.

I wouldn't recommend cheap makeup because those could do damage to your skin esp. if it is sensitive.. It could ruin ur precious skin! But here are some makeup brands thats cheap AND also great!

    ~ Maybelline

    ~ Easy Breezy Covergirl
    BE A MINERAL GIRL!!

    Mineral Girlz makeup is formulated to help clear the skin as they wear it, it also contains sunscreen, which protects them from damaging UV rays. We give girls the knowledge of skin care and makeup application, something they will have forever.';

Avon has the best makeup for their price.

Is mineral makeup really that great?

i hear bare esentual is awesome but i don't feel like spending $80 on makeup that won't do what it says, some say that it exsentuates ur flawes but lasts long, any other mineral makeup that is cheaper but just as pure?Is mineral makeup really that great?
If you are looking for an alternative to Bare Minerals, you should consider Kms mineral essentials. It has all of the same quality ingredients as bare minerals, but it does not include bismuth, which is an known skin irritant.

Kms performs as well as bare minerals and you get a ton more product for much less.

I would tend to stay away from the store brand mineral makeup. They all contain fillers and unnecessary ingredients that will do absolutely nothing for your skin.

Good luck to you.Is mineral makeup really that great?
I think it's worth it. I bought the starter kit, and it was $60, not $80. And I didn't have to replace anything for at least 6 months. It lasts forever, and it makes my skin look great. I've also noticed my skin is healthier from not caking on makeup that is bad for me.
you should go to a make up counter and ask them to test some on you so you can decide yourself. i have worn mineral makeup but prefer liquid foundation. think it depends on what type of coverage you like and your skin. definatly try it as i wouldnt say its no good i just prefer the way i look with liquid foundation.
Yes!!! bare minerals is SO worth the money.Once I tried it I was hooked. While your putting it on your like ';wow this is nice'; and than you put on the mineral veil and its like magic!!!! Absolutly flawless!!! lol. My complection has also cleared up.However sometimes I do have to cheap out and I use Loreal bare naturale, which is the best drugstore mineral make-up I've found so far.(and believe me I've tried a few)One more tip.Try ebay you can get it for cheaper.Just make SURE its bare minerals(and its fresh) cause theres alot out there.
i have used it befor and i dont like it.. but my mom uses it and she loves it. i guess it depends on how you wear your makeup...
I just recently switched to bare minerals makeup, and I LOVE it! I have acne and it actually helped with that. I like how it covers, and it looks very natural. Usually, when I wear foundation, my skin feels oily soon after...but not with the bare minerals. My skin stays clean feeling all day. They also sell mineral makeups at the drug stores, but I like the bare minerals for myself.
    i hear it works great
I saw a commercial for Bare Esentuals and I thought it would be the greatest thing and it would work amazing.

Nope. It doesnt cover up hardly anything. You can tell I am wearing it, but it's not worth 80 dollars. Trust me!
its ok...it gives you a nice glow...and its natural looking...but it def doesnt cover as good as a liquid foundation...and people who say it does...well i dunno they must have some sort of magic way of putting it on...LOL...cos i get like 1-2 pimples sometimes on my period...and it doesnt even really cover those..and they arent even bad....so i dont know...if i were you i would try mineral make up from the store....try it and if you like that..then your bound to like the expensive one cos it can only be better....they are more healthy for your skin...but they def arent going to cover as good as the ones they claim arent as good for your skin...LOL always a down fall to everything...just like diet drinks ...LOLLLLLL..everything that seems to good to be true always is.. :(
oh yeah.....you'll never go back to foundation
    hiya,

bare minerals... while there are many that praise it, plenty also complain about it.

1 of the ingredient is Bismuth Oxychloride, which is the cause of breakouts, itch and clogged pores for many, especially sensitive and problem skin.

Bismuth Oxychloride is a by product of lead and copper, which is a strong skin irritant.

if yours is sensitive skin and problem skin type, do take note of this in your consideration..

whichever brands you are checking out, do take a look at the ingredients list.

at the end of the day it boils down to individual skin...

if you like, you can check out everyday minerals, i am using this and i love it very much, everyday minerals DOES NOT contain bismuth oxychloride, can verify at the ingredient page.

    http://www.everydayminerals.com/

    hope this helps =P
I use the new mineral makeup that Maybliene makes. I like it. When you wear it you just have to make sure it is well blended which is not hard the proper brush is included in the package. I have few break outs and it is lighter feeing on my face and does not cake when i get warm or clamy so Im not sure if this helps but this one only cost 10.00
Try puritycosmetics.co.uk. It is really good!
For me,LA Minerals has the best products for the money.

Do any men find fuller figure women attractive? I am talking about ones who wear makeup and great clothes.?

The ones I have dated do, and my guy friends are all unanimous on the issue...yes! And it has everything to do with your personal style and being comfortable in your skin..more than if you wear makeup all the time or wear certain labels...I love my curves and would rather look like I actually went through puberty...it's called womanhood for a reason...when you are in love with you (convinced and not conceited) the ones who love you too show up..and the other ones...you're too busy living life to notice them at all. I like to remind people that Marilyn Monroe was a size 12...

I think Terrence Howard said it best:

I like girls with curves..I don't like skinny girls..I'm attracted to the waves in the ocean.

Right on Terrence...it's time for women to rock it loud and proud...be comfortable in your skin..a healthy weight for your height...and be real.Do any men find fuller figure women attractive? I am talking about ones who wear makeup and great clothes.?
A couple of things on this one.

First: I dated a full figure girl and never thought about it until one time when I went out with a skinny girl. When I put my arms around the skinny one to give her a hug it was a real turn off because all I could feel was bones. It didn't feel right and I didn't like it.

Second: I find fuller figure girls to be more fun, more sensitive, more kind and all around more pleasant to be with. Yes, I married the fuller figured girl and no regrets.Do any men find fuller figure women attractive? I am talking about ones who wear makeup and great clothes.?
I see these do any men like this or that questions. Ladies all guys are different. I'm an African-American male and I like and a lot of A.A. men like a woman with some meat on her. Not the skinny, big breasted white women I see on tv. We prefer women who are evenly proportionate.

Just look at most Rap videos and look at the girls.

If you are a fuller figure woman, you just need to find men who like your type of woman. I lose the ones that do not. You can't make a person like what you want him to like.
    fuller as in curvy?

    for sure.

I'd take a curvy girl over a thin girl anyday. and yes, full is a must though. although I do like slim, there is a difference betweent slim and thin.

but in general, yes. most guys love full women, including me!
fuller is better I think... because I am a ';full'; women with curves... skin %26amp; bones aint my thing... Its nasty especially if they do it on purpose.. if they cant help it that there skinny like my 2 sisters then I feel bad for them..I just think it looks nasty.. why would you wanna date a tooth pick? but then again REALLY big women arent attractive either.. in the middle is nice
    What do you think:

    curvy:

If the guys want to cuddle with a bag of bones than girl #2 is perfect, but if they prefer a girl with meat on her bones girl #1 is the one.
I'm a girl but i find very attractive girls who are curvey and have the butt the size of 13-17 in jeans.

I am totally straight and believe if I turn lesbo I would take curvey over thin anyway....

P.S i am a size 17 jean but believe me i love every inch of it..
Full figures rock. Skinny girls are painful in more ways than one. But obese is not a turn on.
The bigger the cushion, the sweeter the pushin'

    Or so i have read...
    i would say curvy

I'm not a great fan of makeup but might need to use it soon at a friends wedding?

how do i go about it and how do i start? where do i start? heeelp!I'm not a great fan of makeup but might need to use it soon at a friends wedding?
Go to a salon or department store that sells makeup and get a free makeover. Expect to purchase one or two products, but you'll get a dramatic face for almost free and you won't have to buy a bunch of products you're only going to use once.

Whether you have your makeup done for you or do it yourself, I suggest starting with a mineral-based product such as i.d. or similar. They're just crushed minerals, so they don't weigh down your skin, and they give you a very natural look.I'm not a great fan of makeup but might need to use it soon at a friends wedding?
    My suggestion would be

    get some good concealer... www.bodyshop.com

They have a concealer crayon that works excellent for me!!

The best bet would be to go to the actually place and have the sales assistant help find your color..

you can take your chances and order online though if you want

MaryKay and Avon probably have something for concealing also.. Check ebay for their stuff..

Basicly all you want to do is cover up all of your blemishes, put on alittle bit of mascara, if you are pale maybe dab on alittle blush and blend it in with a makeup sponge.. Brown eyeliner always looks very natural and fresh and works for most eyes so get some of that and line your bottom lid.. or top if you want (get the pencil kind)

I think if you just keep it to concealer,mascara,blush,lipgloss-balm

    That should be fine!

    goodluck hun
I am a former Clinique Cosmetics Representative. If you live in an area with salons and dept. stores, shop around, make an appt. to learn how to use their products (makeover). Ask if a min. purchase is required. You need only the enhancing minimal (this low level will still deliver sticker shock). Make clear you are inexperienced with makeup; ask as many questions as you need and practice at the counter. Go alone, well meaning friends trend to ';muck up'; your instincts. I strongly advise you give yourself adequate time to practice after purchase, unless you have a trusted friend. Above all, DO NOT feel pressured to buy! Trust you to just be you; illuminated by your own artistic hand.
Don't use a lot of it.

    1. Get an eyeliner, which you apply to the inner rims of your eyes on the bottom only (Brown or black will probably work best).

    2. Coat your top lashes with some dark brown or black mascara.

    3. Get some clear lip gloss and swipe it over your lips.

There you go. It's pretty, it's not hard, and it's really inexpensive. (Wal-Greens has good eyeliner for 99 cents, or Eckard has sets of NYC eyeliner with 2 pencils for 2 bucks...)

Good luck, and have fun at the wedding!!
i hardly ever wear make up - but when i dont use very much - i dont like to use any kind of foundations as i feel that it may make my skin bad - and if you dont need it why use it! I would say -eye liner - nice eye shadow - mascara and some lip gloss! Go onto the avon website - google - avon catalogue - and request a catalogue this doesnt cost anything - they have step by step guides on how to use some of thier products!!! Good luck!
I'm not a big fan of make up either these days. I used to wear a lot, but find a lot of it irritates me.

I expect you will be in the wedding photos and by wearing make up, you will look much better in the photos.

If this is the first time, or it's been a long time; I'd go to a make-up counter in a department store, and have a free make over. You can choose to buy what you want from them of course, or use their advice to get your own elsewhere. But since it's a special occasion, I'd get just the basics from them.

Concealer, light face powder, blush, (which you can use on cheeks and eyelids) a light lipstick or gloss, and mascara. You can also get a kohl pencil eyeliner to accentuate your eyes, and eyeshadow; but I find these aren't necessary. They can really bring out your eyes though.

The best I think is Clinique, because it's good for sensitive skin. They are also very good at matching up your colouring with the makeup.

You can get very natural colours from them.

On top of that, you'll probably want to get cleanser to remove the make up.

The make up will go on better if you put a good face moisturiser on before applying it, but it isn't necessary. A lot of what they sell you make up wise isn't necessary. You can probably get away with wearing just a lightly coloured lipgloss, if you really hate wearing makeup.
    use:

    some conceiler when needed

a little bit of blush (smile like an idiot and put it on the 'fat' part of your cheeks)

    mascara

some gloss or even just a bit of chapstick
    good
Tip 1: ask ur mom. moms have been wearing make up for years... plus they can see ur face more upclose and personal than u will ever see ur own (even with a mirror)

Tip 2: go to a department store. in most department stores (in AUS at least) u can get a makeover done for about A$30 and u usually get to keep the lipstick... book ahead so u will b dolled up especially for the day, some hairdressing salons also do make-up

Tip 3: less is probably more. dont wear eyeliner its too fiddly. Go for some moisturiser, then a nice foundation (a tinted moisturiser is probably best and is light and fresh), then maybe some eyemake-up (shadow and mascara... eyeliner is too fiddly) and a pale light lip gloss to finish.

    Tip 3
    It is too long to explain it all here;bcoz there are different and diverse make-up tips. And depending on your dress and wedding theme, you can choose for yourself if u go to this awesome website and learn;

    http://beauty.about.com/od/makeuptips/.h鈥?/a>

Edit: I've been perfecting application of my make-up based on this website. I'm getting to be a pro!Keep practicing the tips in front of the mirror at home and wear the make-up all day to see how ur body chemistry reacts to the make-up.

Trusts me, many times we put on some new colour or new make-up to a party and when we go to the bathroom 4 hrs later u look like the bride of Frankenstein, bcoz make-up do change or get better with your chemistry. It doesn't always look the same later. Practicing at home helps you find out what suits you. Its cheaper when when u can do it yourself., and u can look good on your own anytime.

    Good Luck!
If you want to use a minimal amount to keep it natural looking, start with a color of lipstick and mascara you think would blend with your skin undertones. If you want to brighten your eyes, select a base eyeshadow, preferably a contrasting color to your eye color if you want to highlight your eyes. To enhance the shape of your eyes, use an eyeliner as well. Blush and brow liners can be added on to shape the cheeks as well as the eyebrows. Let me know if you have questions, you're welcome to visit my avon webpage at http://www.youravon.com/dklobuchar
keep your make up nice and natural if you dont wear it dont go mad, keep it to a minimum, bit of foundation if needed a little bronzer for that sun kissed look a bronze, creamy or glod eyeshadow, with a bit of mascars and some nice lip gloss either clear or a soft brown,it depends to what your wearing if pink for instance try a shimmery pink eyeshadow and clear gloss if blue use a shimmering baby blue.go to boots, debenhams, house of fraser or body shop and ask a bit of advice for colours.enjoy your day im sure your get it right and look amazing.x
your featers help out alot the basics are: power, blush lip gloss(lipstick) your choice. you can also try true match it maches your skin type.
well since you dont really like it go w/ some lighter natural looking things.

start by applying a black mascara on your top lashes. this will make them long and luscious. then separate them w/ a lash comb. if you want to define your eyes a bit more put on a thin line of dark brown eyeliner and smudge it. this will give you a smoldery, but still natural look.

instead of foundation try a tinted moisturizer. its alot lighter but does the same thing as foundation. it will give you a dewy look. if you want apply alittle cream/mousse blush onto the apples of your cheeks in a light peachy color.

as for your lips just wear clear lipgloss.

in fact you dont even have to wear all of that, just go with the mascara and lipgloss. have fun @ the wedding.
It is always better to keep make-up to a bare minimum. If you can get away without make-up do so. Most men like women with their natural beauty.

So keep off the make-up. Just give your face a good old scrub to keep it glowing on the day. Smile and you will surely shine. Then you dont have to worry about smudging mascara or re-applying your lipstick, eyeliner and the whole lot.If I were you, id concentrate on what id wear and my hair!

    Enjoy the wedding!
You don't need heavy foundation for one, cos I never wear it. Use a tinted foundation, something light. Then use a light shade of eyeshadow, nothing too dark and match it too your outfit. Match with a light lipstick and a touch of Waterproof mascara. you don't need anything dark if you arn't used to it. Good luck.
you should try bare essentials it is light and you cant really feel it on your face you can go to ulta and get it
    Go visit Boots the Chemist.

Get E45 face cream to apply before the make-up.

Ask in Boots to be pointed to the Clinique counter (that being non perfumed make-up) Get a foundation, blusher, natural eyeshadows, mascara, lip liner and lipstick.

Ask for assistance - sometimes you can get a make over or the Boots employee will be able to advise you on colours suitable for you.
I dont know much about makeup, but my girlfriend looks wonderfull without it.

If you dont normally where makeup, I'm sure you will look great for the wedding without any.

Or, go to debenhams on the morning and get a free makeup session...

Buy a simple powder to dust on your face which will even out your skin tone and get rid of any unwanted oil.

Try a nice light pink blush and dust that on the apples of your cheeks.

Get some good black mascara (Covergirl or Maybelline) and apply 2 coats to both your bottom and top lashes.

If you want to do everything, you can put some black eyeliner on and dust some nice shimmery eyeshadow on your eyelids.

This is a simple and easy look that shouldn't take you too long. Hope this helps!
For brown eyes use shades of blue, for blue eyes use browns and smokey colors, and for green eyes use dark purple.

What are some great brands of makeup?

Clinique, Estee Lauder, Mary KayWhat are some great brands of makeup?
I still like Revlon---good foundations, nice lipcolors and mascarasWhat are some great brands of makeup?
    Revlon,Mac
MaryKay is my brand. Have tried many but, this seems to work best for me.
    Cover Girl
Depends on what you're looking for. I like MAC for the intensity of the pigmentation.
My favorites are Cover Girl and DIOR
    MAC
MAC is supposed to be the very best make-up according to an ex-girlfriend. But, she knew everything and THAT is why we are no longer together. I disagreed!
Bare Minerals is wonderful !! you just blush it on and you will be flawless ! i use it. makes you look younger and have a natural glow and is very easy to apply, all shades to chose from. try www.bareminerals.com or go on ebay, they have some great deals on bare minerals. good luck , Kathy ..you can also buy bare minerals at a store called sephora you can also find online or sometime in your local mall.
    anything in sephora

    they sell good make up
If you like light make-up that covers unwanted areas without a bunch of gunk, definitely try BARE MINERALS!!! I saw it at Sephora, and I've been using it ever since. It makes your face appear as if there is no make-up on!! I love it!
Merrill Norman-- i don't know if that is spelled right tho--

it's oil free (if you ask for the rigth kind) LUXIVA is what they carry. I was on an 18 hour flight from the east coast to the west coast (multiple problems, multiple layovers) and used their products and it looked like i just put it on when i dragged myself into the hotel room. i swear by it. foundation, cover-up, powder, and mascara at least...they have other stuff, but start with that.

My grandma has a problem with lip stick changing colors on her (normally goes from pink to orange) and this does not change colors at all.

the bare minerals doesn't cover anything for me... just accents my bad spots.

almay and cover girl doesn't stay. and gets oily.

MN is kinda pricy, but a tube lasts me at least 6 months. and they will tell you how to apply it at the store.

they also give you a money back guarentee-- if you don't like it you can return it.
Depends on wat type of make-up your looking for, wether its like the colour, price or like the vitamins and stuff in it.

I like l'oreal, maybelline and rimmel.
Chanel and Dior are the best, you can really tell their quality apart from cheap brands
clinique, they have stuff for every type of skin i.e. dry, oily etc
Revlon - eyeshadow, lipstick and lipgloss

    Dior - eyeshadow

    Maybelline - lipstick

    Smashbox - lipgloss
mary kay eyeshadow!!! and wet and wild liquid eyeliner!
bare minerals, they have nice lipglosses and eyeshadows, and their foundation is really natural and lets your skin breathe
Almay. It's very very good for your skin, since it isn't oil based.
MAC and Stila are my absolute faves! And they dont test on animals which is a HUGE bonus
I Like mac also....it's kool if you want the dramatic look, go for mac,,if you want the natural look go for bobbi brown they are all very good...and bare escentuals is good too..good luck in finding that perfect makeup!!!!

    http://www.epinions.com/reviews/Neutrogena_Oil_Free_Eye_Makeup_Remover
the wave it's great for you skin also it's just a great product but i wouldn't spend the money on it for the pimples and skin what i do i take a bar of dove soap and take warm water on my face and make it really wet and also the bar and then clean it off with the same temp. water then wash it off with cold water in the morning and afternoon but try it with the make up im not sure if it works but try it, it's cheap and works for you skin!
try one of those pad things and baby oil, i hear it works wonders and it is great with sensitive eyes.

I use Avons eyemakeup remover it's great! :)
    vaseline.
estee lauder makeup remover, works GREAT
    try Noxzema
    for eyes or face?

eyes: avon's lostion works really well. so does baby lotion.

face: just get a face cleanser that removes makeup.

it works better than a lotion or liquid

bc your acually washing it away.
It's old school, but Ponds cold cream.
    baby oil 88cents

cheap and does the same thing you'd pay 5 dollars for
    marjorie bertagne refreshing cleansing oil
lotion. non scented be careful use a q-tip it works
    Forget all those chemical stuff.

Try baybee wipes , it really does work.
Pond's Clean Sweep Cleansing %26amp; Makeup Removing Towelettes can be found in any drugstores. It's voted best by Allure. It's cheap and it works wonder!
i use a clinique make up remover.
go to the body shop. they have great things. and especially there make up remover.
Try plain old vaseline and a warm wash cloth.
I love Benefit's eye and face makeup remover. it's called Gee...That Was Quick. It'll remove all my eye make-up (i'm not sure about water proof make-up) and it doesn't leave a greasy residue. and you can use it on the rest of your face too if you need to.
I use Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover. It works like a charm. :)
Lancome Bi-Facil makeup remover is the only product I've found that works in one swipe and doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes. You can buy it at Macy's or Nordstrom or directly from Lancome at lancome-usa.com.
    i use oil(castor,coconut)...its cheaper and effective... :)
Avon moisture effective is the one i use, it's pretty good.
    L'Oreal.

    I just tried it today.

It isnt oily afterwards at all.

Its in a blue bottle with a white top.

    It works GREAT.

  • What is a nice way to tell a girl that she wears too much makeup because she looks great without it?

Basically, gals put on makeup to make themself more self confident, just tell her that she looks great without it...What is a nice way to tell a girl that she wears too much makeup because she looks great without it?
There is a difference in how you tell a person.

Good: ';You look beautiful without makeup.'; You can also add ';not many people can pull that off'; then she'll most likely start wearing less.

Bad: ';You look terrible with all that makeup.';What is a nice way to tell a girl that she wears too much makeup because she looks great without it?
Tell her she has so much natural beauty - why cover it up?
Whenever you see her without makeup, say something like,

'You look so beautiful right now. Why cover that face with makeup?'
tell her i love u not Ur make-up i want to feel Ur natural lips touch mine and Ur soft skin glow as it was meant 2 b.
Tell her before she has no makeup on that she looks beautiful. Run your hand softly down her cheek and look into her eyes as you say it too
If you see her without her makeup on mention to her how great she looks. She will know that she doesn't need to put on makeup to look great in your eyes... and that is all that should matter!

    Hope this helps! %26lt;3
When she has none on, tell her she has a natural beauty.
say that her makeup is really nice, but she's gorgeous. look her in the eyes when you say it. be really, really close to her.
Well what ever you do DON'T SAY YOU WEAR TOO MUCH MAKE UP!!!!!!! DEAR GOD DON'T DO IT MAN!!! Just make subtle comments like you know you are so much higher then having to wear make up who ever told you that you need any is INSANE.
Without coming right out and saying it, Drop hints:

Did you see (insert famous person here) on MTV? She's cute, her makeup is so down to earth, not like (insert famous person here) who looks like a clown!

Obviously you have seen her without makeup, so next time she is without it, tell her how nice her complexion is and you don't understand why she wears makeup. Really COMPLIMENT her. Girls tend to build on compliments.

As an example-I wore my hair up one day and a guy commented on how cute I looked with short hair. Actually it was more than a comment...he made a point to really let me know how cute it made me look. That weekend I went and had my hair cut in a short style all because I wanted to be cute! We all want to look good!
u are so nice without this make up
You just did! Just be up front. We girls love to know our bare features are appealing. We wear make-up to mask imperfections and to look 'better' than we do bare faced.
Don't waste your time. She is a female and will never really believe it. I am sure that will tick off someone but it is the truth.

She will listen but somewhere along the way, SOMEONE made her think that more is better.
If you can catch her at a moment where she doesn't have a lot of make up on or is in the act of putting it on, you can mention you LOVE this more natural look and that her beauty is really shining through--Tell her in an intimate moment like this and then give her a big old kiss! Keep it positive though--do not say I don't like how much makeup you wear or she'll pout and you'll have a never ending source for arguments. You know we women have the memories of elephants!

Or you can make statements not directed towards her personally, but that get the message across. For ex, one of my old bfs mentioned to me one time that he hated when girls wore red lipstick bc it reminded him of little China painted dolls. I have always remembered that statement--it was nice and it was said not directly to me. And it made me think long and hard about putting on red lipstick!
she wears too much makeup because she looks great without it!

Why not try using your own words!!!? You've said it already in your question, she looks great without it.
the way you just said it
be frank! just tell her not to camouflage her beauty....i will appreciate if a guy will tell me this.....sincere.
You can just tell her directly.

like you know you are very beautiful even with out make up.

you dont need all these things for your are already beautiful.

    thats it be honest...

    no

YES. I have alopecia (no facial hair) and I went to Lauren Jordan in Austin. She was excellent. I had my top eyeliner and eyebrows done. She had a great portfolio and lots of experience and very nice and knowledgable. In fact my photo is on her website and my mom also went to her. I think she's the best and I live what she did for me. Check her out, she does a great job. Her website is www.pmubylauren.comHas anyone had a great personal experience with permanent makeup done in the Austin, TX area?
I worked for a lady who had been doing hair for many years, she had a bridal shop next to her shop, then next door an ice tea place..what a business woman, next she wanted to take up permanent makeup...after many hours of training and brochures she gave it up, the insurance was through the roof because it is so easy to hit the wrong nerves on the eye lids, and the eyebrows turned out harsh, removing anything would be another line of work. Bottom line, she stopped that part of her business, if anyone told the truth, people are just not that clean, a facial infection is so close to the brain...all of it is just so scary. The brochures are written by professionals, not the people doing the work....good luck...
ewww. no i saw on a tv show a woman ruined her face by tattooing eyliner on and it looks like sh it

Im going into the eighth grade & I want great makeup but also natural looking any ideas?

I was thinking light foundation like maybe Covergirl AquaSmooth, and a pressed powder I can have at school with me to touch-up shine during the day I was thinking maybe CoverGirl Fresh Complexion pocket powder or, CoverGirl Fresh Look Pressed Powder. I want something for eyes %26amp; maybe a really shiny lip gloss. Any good brands %26amp; products?

That is what I thought might be good but i'm open to any suggestions, %26amp; other looks that are age appropriate.

I am prone to acne in between my brows a bit . I have a fairly light skintone usally classic ivory. I has combination skin usually pretty oily in my t-zone, can get a tiny bit dry at the top of my cheeks occasionally, %26amp; normal everywhere else.

This is what I have in my makeup bag.

CoverGirl TRUblend micro minerals foundation base in classic ivory (powder)(not actual foundation just a base gives super sheer coverage)

CoverGirl cheekers blush in brick rose

Maybelline New York Great Lash Mascara in Dark Brown

Rimmel eye liner pencil in Matita Occhi (medium brown)

Life Brand cover stick (for acne contains treatment) in light

Avon ultra luxury eye liner in khaki ( copperish colour)

I usually wear the coverstick, foundation base, %26amp; ethier eye liner or blush.

Any things that would be good to add to my makeup bag?Im going into the eighth grade %26amp; I want great makeup but also natural looking any ideas?
I'm 12 going to 7th grade. This is how I put on my makeup.

    -Put on moisturizer.

-You can put on foundation if you have acne. Apply it in a swirling motion.

-Get concealer and put a big dot on under eye circles. Use a rolling motion.

-Get liquid eyeliner and apply it on your upper lashline. Wipe off any eyeliner thats on your lid.

-Get primer and apply on lid and brow bone.

-Get black eye kajal and waterline bottom 1/3 or 2/3 in. Waterline the top until your eyelashes stop. The top might be hard to waterline. Make sure you don't poke yourself!

-Get mascara (not a big fan) and gently stroke lashes.

-Get blush or bronzer (dont care about this). Apply on each cheek 3 times. Add a little on forehead, chin, and nose.

-Finish with light lip gloss! (don't like this either)Im going into the eighth grade %26amp; I want great makeup but also natural looking any ideas?
put a liner of dark brown eye shadow and slowly fade it up towards your eyebrow. and along the bottom of your brow put a creae shimmery shadow. and a bit of dark mascara. and a peachy shear lip gloss. and use a light dusting of mineral foundation and a soft application of peachy pink blush on your cheak bones.
YOU SHUT UP YOU STUPID BUM!!!
No , Use MAC that stuff Works very well !
    i dont wear make up
If I were you I would try Bare Minerals and maybe it will help you to have a more natural look than the appearance that CoverGirl gives you. Next I would lighten my blush since you have such fair skin. For eye make-up I would highly suggest Mac, because of its eye-popping colors and ability to stay for an extended period of time. Depending on your hair color you should adjust your liners, mascara, and gloss. Clear to light pink glosses would look exceptional on you with a light skin tone. Enjoy your last year of middle school. :)
The new Almay Smart Shade Smart Balance makeup is great. Plus it is made for oily skin. I love Covergirl Eyelights mascara. I also just got this new Maybelline eyeshadow in Indian Summer and I love it. It is great for everyday. Always use some moisturizer. Aveeno Calming moisturizer is good for everybody. I also like the new Biore Dual Fusion. If you like Clinique then they have this really good foundation and powder set called Almost Makeup. Its almost Foundation and Almost Powder. It covers really well but is not to heavy or cakey.

What's the bet facewash to buy, that washes off makeup and dirt, and fights acne? Mostrsing would be great!!?

Get the neutrigina grapefruit facial scrub and soap. It works really well! What's the bet facewash to buy, that washes off makeup and dirt, and fights acne? Mostrsing would be great!!?
Neutrogena Fresh Foaming cleanser - washes of makeup %26amp; dirt, oil-free, fights acne by washing away dirt %26amp; oil which can clog your pores, %26amp; it doesn't over-dry your skin. Best of all it's cheap

I use baby oil to remove my eye makeup and long wearing lipstick and it works great!?

Why have I never seen this as a ';beauty secret';? It is sooooooooo much less expensive than eye/lip makeup remover and works even better! Am I doing something damaging or wrong?I use baby oil to remove my eye makeup and long wearing lipstick and it works great!?
No you're not. If it works for you, it's great! It is actually one of the best ways to remove stubborn makeup, but many of us hate that oily feeling and sometimes we try to look into other benefits in a product. Suggestion: also try olive oil, it's more beneficial and inexpensive.I use baby oil to remove my eye makeup and long wearing lipstick and it works great!?
I don't think so b/c I use baby oil too!

    It works really great!
No baby oil is a very gentle product thats why they use it on babies.
but i tink using oil on ur lips sounds weird but im not sure you could ask a make up professional at the mall or sumthin
You're right, it is less expensive, however, you are damaging your skin! Petroleum products, such as petroleum jelly, baby oil, mineral oil and preservatives that are commonly found in store-bought lotions, creams and skin care products are foreign to our skin cells and clogging to our pores. They also atract dirt and bacteria and can become vehicles for these unwelcome substances. When our skin has to deal with this abuse everyday it ultimately weakens and breaks down the strength and durability of our skin and can cause an allergic reaction. This is very evident with the rise in skin allergies, dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, dry skin and skin cancer.

I remove my make with an all natural soap for your face, like from Burt's Bees. Never use petroleum products!
I use it too! Out of all the different products I've tried it works the best and it's the cheapest!
No, your not doing any damage to your skin. I use baby oil to take off my mascara and eyeliner.
I've used baby oil to get rid of my eye makeup, it works. But I wear contact lens and I notice that the oils makes my eyes blurry, and I hate the oiliness so I don't use it anymore.
Lotion does the same thing also. I put it on a makeup sponge and rub where the makeup is.
That is an old school trick of the trade. one word of caution----do not use as lotion for the body or face without applying a sunscreen after. It is an oil and does amplify the effects of the sun. Save your skin----use a sunscreen.

You can also use the baby oil to clean out your ';inny'; belly button. Dip a Q-tip into the oil and saturate the belly button with the baby oil...get a dry Q-tip and remove any ';yuck'; from the inside of your belly button...works great for me and my little ones.

To the first guy: girls who wear makeup aren't sluts. What鈥檚 wrong with wanting to be confident in your looks? Being confident on the outside helps us become confident on the inside which improves life all around. It鈥檚 important for ALL women of ALL ages to feel beautiful and intelligent.

    Anyway...

Do you mind if I suggest a makeup routine for you? What skin tone are you? Are you prone to acne? Do you have dry skin? That will all effect how the makeup works with your skin. If you have dry skin, you obviously don't want to be using a lot of powder. Just like if you have oily skin, you don't want to be using lots of liquid foundation. I think a simple makeup routine will work for your young skin considering you just want to freshen up and enhance your skin, not cover it.

    Foundation:

I would go with a light foundation that doesn't look cakey. Remember to always use a makeup sponge/applicator when applying foundation. This will help make the foundation look more natural without any streaks or cakey spots. I've never tried Covergirl AquaSmooth, but it is supposed to be light. I have tried Maybelline Pure Makeup for those days when I don't feel like getting ready and it evens out any imperfections without looking like I have makeup on. I like that foundation a lot because its very light and natural. If you want something with more coverage, I would try Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse. I use that foundation and it鈥檚 fantastic! Just make sure you don't over do it on foundation and that you always wash it off overnight! You don't want to clog your pores and end up with big zits in the morning!

    Concealer:

You didn't mention a concealer, but if you get zits occasionally, I would recommend getting some. I can't really tell you which concealer to get because I don't know your skin type. I would go online and search for one for oily/combination, normal, or dry skin depending on which skin type you have.

    Powder:

I really recommend Covergirl TruBlend Mineral Translucent Powder. I think it鈥檚 a great setting powder. If you鈥檙e feeling really brave, you can even wear it alone. Some people say it鈥檚 too sparkly, but I think it gives you that ';glow';. Also, when you鈥檙e tired or oily, it freshens your makeup up.

    Blush:

You didn't mention blush, but I really like blush. I would use a highlighter powder. This will give you a nice glow and highlight your cheekbones.

    Eyeliner:

I would recommend wearing light eyeliner. Brown or black would be good, but you really don't want to end up looking like an ugly raccoon. I really love Perfect Point Plus eyeliner from Covergirl. It goes on smoothly and the eyeliner comes with a sponge applicator on the other side of the pencil. Its self sharpening also. I would glide eyeliner lightly from the outer corner of the eye to about the middle of the pupil. Use the sponge to blend the eyeliner from the outer corner to the pupil to the inside corner of the eye. Make sure to blend!

    Eye shadow:

I would recommend a champagne or mink color eye shadow. Just something to enhance and make your eyes stand out more. Try looking up your eye shadow enhancing colors with your eye color.

    Mascara:

I really like Lash Blast by Covergirl! It鈥檚 great for just volumizing to make your eyes stand out and put a finishing touch on your makeup!

    Lip-gloss:

    Clear lip-gloss does wonders!

Hope I helped, and good luck!Im going into the eighth grade %26amp; I want great makeup but also natural looking any ideas?
That sounds like a good plan! Play up your natural features and don't go too heavy on the make up. Clear mascara works really well to hold brows in place and accentuate lashes without looking too heavy.

Lip gloss preferences vary, but also consider lip balm like the Lip Smackers products. They are very affordable and come in a variety of colors/flavors.

Drug stores like Walgreens have a cosmetic specialist who can help you choose the right products. You should ask to be sure, but some stores have a special refund policy to encourage customers to try new make up.
use a foundation, if you can find the right shade, and it looks ok.

apply with a makeup sponge, and dont use too much.

before you put foundation on, put a tiny bit of mascara on, but first define your lashes shape by an eyelash curler. just use a plain, none heated one. they work fine.

use whatever shade mascara you want, if you want a more natural look go with brown, if thats the color of your hair, or use a clear mascara just to define your lashes.

is you want a more defined look, apply black eyeliner to your lower lid. or liquid eyeliner across your top lids, to give that Cleopatra look. this will take a while to get perfect, unless you have a really steady hand!

if you want, perfect the look with a powder!

have fun, trying out new looks.

and also, if you want to wear lip makeup, just go with clear gloss or Vaseline! works miracles!

if your in the UK, barry m, miss sporty, nyc those are all good makeup brands.
since you are young, i am guessing that you are not looking to spend a lot of money on your makeup products. if you are willing to spend a good amount of cash, i suggest going to a department store and looking at their makeup. MAC cosmetics are especially great.

if you are looking to save, drugstore products will work fine. brands like covergirl and maybeline have lots of different products and colors.

i would suggest getting a good mascara and an eyeliner. if you want to get an eyeshadow, then many companies sell trios or quads of colors that go really well together. as for a lip gloss, you can never go wrong with a light pink gloss.
I'm going into eighth grade and when i do my makeup i use mascara on the top and bottom lashes and liner and the bottom of my eye. i also just put a little eye shadow on like browns and natural colors that aren't to dramatic. i use cover up to cover up zits and stuff, then i use a little blush and some pink lip gloss but don't put to much gloss on because i think it looks trashy if there is a lot.
I am a freshman now. This is what I wore in 8th grade:

    Foundation

    mascara

    sometimes bronzer or blush

I think you shouldn`t wear lip gloss. If you do, don`t make it too shiny. When I saw people wearing really shiny lip gloss it just looked waaay over the top. If you really want to, do a tinted lip balm, and I suggest Burt`s Bees. They give great color and make your lips really healthy. I do think that using covergirl is good. I like their products.
Just get blush and mascara and gloss. You don't need foundation. It clogs pores and when your hormones kick in it'll break your face out.
go to mac trust me i get my products from there they're great.
for eyeshadow liner and mascara anything by m.a.c

for lips, i like bon-bons lipgloss. find it at walmart
don't turn into a slut just because you're a big girl now.

What is so great about mineral makeup?

it is lighter but still gives u coverage.

it gives a more natural look, but u still look feminine because people know you're wearing makeup.

it's not as heavy as other makeups.

    it doesnt clog pores

some of it is made of natural mineralsWhat is so great about mineral makeup?
Mineral makeup does not clog pores as much as a liquid foundation or something like that. The powder just sits on your face and your skin does not soak it in, as opposed to liquid makeup. The thing is that you have to re-apply once or twice a day if you want it on all day because after a few hours it will kinda fall off. It also feels like you are not wearing as much, to me it just feels more natural! What is so great about mineral makeup?
mineral make-up is great , it doesn't clog your pores and because most powders use zinc as its main mineral it also becomes a good spf sunblock . Also if you are getting a 100% organic product the colors in it are all from dehydrated fruit which will also make it waterproof.
Maybe because its made from the best stuff on earth..its has natural minerals in it which means that nothing in it is artificial or nasty and fake...its better for the skin %26amp; i think that its hypoallergenic (sorry if spelled correct)..hope i helped!!!!!!!!
any and all make-up is bad,

no make-up is the best, natural is the way you're suppose to be, don't hide the true beauty you possess.

Make-up is just a waste of money
its like naturral or something so it doesnt cause you to get pimples from ittt.
    try it urself.

What's a GREAT Makeup Kit/Set that has all the essentials?

I'm looking for a makeup set for my mom. She likes natural makeup. I'm thinking about the Cargo 7 in 7 Kit from Sephora. It costs $59 US and includes 7 products that are supposed to be applied in 7 minutes.

It includes a blush, mascara, eyeliner, lipliner, eyeshadow palette, lipgloss, and concealer.

If you've never heard about that and don't have an opinion on that, tell me what makeup set you love. What's a GREAT Makeup Kit/Set that has all the essentials?
I think your idea is a good gift idea. However, you have to remember that everyone has different skin types and usually the make up sets you buy aren't the best for your skin. It is better for the individual person to buy their own make up as they know their skin better than anyone! What's a GREAT Makeup Kit/Set that has all the essentials?
The best and most complete kit you can get is the following:

Eco tools makes great brushes. They're all amazing.Plus they're sooo cheap!

Here's a review on one of the sets.

    http://dailycookie.net/2009/08/eco-tools…

Buy them at Walgreens and Rite Aid.

They have foundation and concealer brushes too!

They're soo soft and they're synthetic.
try ecotools (i think that's what they're called)

they're completely earth-friendly and are super soft! I haven't had any problems with shedding.

    here's a link: http://www.parispresents.com/EcoTools_s/…

you can buy them at target or walgreens, not too expensive either
E.L.F. has good brushes and are only $1. You can get them at some dollar stores or online at www,eyeslipsface.com. Sometimes they have sales where if you spend $10, shipping is free. Ive never used their makeup, but I do know their brushes are the best you can find for that price.
I recommend Sonia Kashuk brushes from Target. They are very good quality and run about $10 each. EcoTools brushes are also very great and environmentally friendly.
@ target. there are ones that are only 2.99 USD.

i use them and they work wonder! or try Sonia Kashuk @ target also, but they're like 7.99 or depending on waht brush you want.

I use this great mineral makeup I found on ebay called mineral glitters. It matches any skin tone and blends flawlessly. I also have trouble with acne and this is the ONLY makeup in 25 years that has not made me break out. Infact it has improved my skin. Look for a product that will not block pores and doesnt contain any fillers. You should only see pure minerals no talcs or rice fillers.

What foundation, eyeshadow, mascara, eyeliner, blush, and lip color should I use? Not brand, but color. I want to look pretty, but not TOO madeup. Any suggestions?? Thank you and God bless!! =DREALLY GREAT MAKEUP FOR ME?
Im no expert but Im a makeup fanatic and my sista has white skin she taught me how to do everything. Since you have white skin get a foundation that matches you to even out blemishes. Blot on the skin and work in an upwards motion. Apply it evenly so it doesnt look whiter on different sides. dont forget to apply below the chin going down to the neck cause it can look weird. Green eyes are good for alot of colors, like browns and greens and alot of colors. Just experiment to bring out your color. To bring out your natural color use light colors so that it doesnt take away the brightness of your eyes. I always focus on the eyes. make em pop. To apply eyeshadow, start from the corner to the outer eye. I apply darker colors below the lash line. For example if you use green. Apply a dark green evenly, from the outer side brush inwards so that it doesnt look uneven and sloppy. Once you have that apply a lighter shade of green on top and blend into the other color. Get the darkest mascara or one of those that highlight your eyes. They are awesome. Curl eyelashes first, Make them look the same, same height, same curl, always brush with an eyelash comb it works magic. Then apply the mascara from bottom to tip, extending the comb to the tip. Swish it from side to side when you apply, it darkens it and makes them look thick. I have always applied eyeliner on the inside of my top and bottom eyeline. It may take awhile to perfect and get use to but once again it makes your eyes pop. Focus on those great eyes you got! and not too much or it wil look messy. For blush, its tricky but get a light pink one. I apply it after the foundation, smile so that your cheekbones pop out and apply the blush to them going in small circles. if you put too much just smooth over with the foundation sponge or brush off with hands. dont go crazy with it or you will look like a clown. lightly apply for a brighter face. lip color. stay with light pinks and reds. You would look great with red lips. mascara, eyeliner and blush. try to perfect your eyes and eyelashes. just practice. hope i was of some help..its hard to write it all..REALLY GREAT MAKEUP FOR ME?
ivory colored foundation and powder (thats what it should be called), greens, light purples and blues look good on green eyes, you could also try browns but that looks better on blue eyes but it works with green. black mascara makes it look more natural, i use blue just to stand out. black, brown and green eyeliners are good. a nice soft pink will work for blush and nude and light pinks are good for lip color. apply your base in a downward motion starting with the center of your face (forehead and bridle of nose) make sure you cover all of your face, let that dry. then brush on loose powder(better for your face) also cover you entire face. when applying blush fallow the apples of your cheeks and your jaw line, make sure not to allpy to heavy but if you do dont freak out just go over it with a light coating of powder. now for your eyes, apply your eyeshadow on you eyelid where you want it, then put eyeliner on your water line under your eye or on your lash line (i do both). after your done with you eyeliner put on your mascara, dont pump it up and down too much because everytime you pump you mascara you pump bactiria into it and you should get new mascara every 3 months and throw out the old one, start from the base of your eyelashes and move up wiggling the brush quicky and softly (not to quicky) right to left or left to right doesnt matter, this prevents clumps. then apply a decent (not too much not too little) ammount of lip gloss or lip stick, i alwaya put alot on then when im done kinda ';bite'; down on a tissue with my lips...not to hard tho. ok thats it, good luck and have fun!

Definitely check out Fyrinnae cosmetics, Obsessive-Compulsive Make-up, Medusas Make-up, and your local CCO (Outlet Bound store- sells make-up for cheap!). For drugstore brands, NYX, Milani and L'Oreal are all good. HiP is alright, but the color range isn't very good.

The BRIGHTEST out of all the brands is Medusas Make-up. Cheap and good quality too.

Fyrinnae is about $6.50 for an eyeshadow pigment.Obsessive Compulsive is $10, Medusas is $6 and Milani and NYX are a few bucks at a drugstore.

All the brands are listed are fun, bright colors and are compreble to MAC, which I love. I added the links below- Good luck!

You should try ALL the Hip products by Loreal. You will not go wrong with them; especially the eyeshadow duo's! Also, try wet n wild- the lip glosses can't be beat for the price. For mascara try Loreal Voluminous- it works wonders! These products are really good quality. I use them before I use the high-priced stuff! Trust me. You don't have to break the bank! Have fun!
