How do I get my eye makeup to look great?

I know how to put on eyeliner...sortof. but I never do it cuz im horrible at it!

But how exactly do I apply it all, and in what steps?

Mascara, Eye Shadow, Liner, ect.

And where does the liner go?? Ahhh help!

Help! (Putting your directions in steps will deff get you a TENPOINTER!)How do I get my eye makeup to look great?
1. Start off with your eyeshadow. Since you're new to all of this, start off with just applying one color to the lid for a simple, natural look. Neutral browns look nice on just about everyone, but feel free to experiment with other colors. Later when you're more experienced, try adding a darker color on the outer corner for more depth and dimension. There are many YouTube videos that teach you how to do this.

2. The next step is eyeliner. You can use liquid, pencil, or cream. I find that pencil is the easiest for beginners. Apply a thin line on your top lid, making the line as close to your lashes as possible. If you have to, pull your upper lid out a little bit towards your ears to make your skin taut -- this will make it a little easier to apply the liner, and contrary to popular belief, it will not cause wrinkles as long as you're gentle. Apply liner to half of your lower lash line too -- this will make your eyes appear larger. Again, make sure it's as close to your lashes as possible for a natural look.

3. Last but not least is mascara. You can get one for length, volume, or separation, depending on what you need. Start either at the middle or base of your lashes and work your way up. Wiggle the brush back and forth as you move upwards to avoid clumping. Apply only 1-2 coats, since more that that will probably cause clumps and not look natural.

Hope I helped. :)How do I get my eye makeup to look great?
firstly i abide by the primer rule. go out there and get a good eye shadow primer. it's like a base for your eyeshadow that prevents creasing and helps make colors look more vibrant, also it helps shade and blend makeup evenly. i use and swear by urban decay's primer potion. if you can't order it or don't have an ulta or sephora store near you, try a primer by revlon or almay, not as great but better than nothing.

here are the steps i go through each day:

1. prime lids

2. apply eye shadow. pat color on to lid and then gently sweep it back in forth in a windshield wiper motion either to your crease or to the brow bone of your eye. (depending on how your eyes are set on your face.)

3. if liner is necessary. gently place your thumb below your brow bone and lift your eye lid (eye should be closed for this) lightly dash liner as close as possible to your lashline. don't worry if it's messy, you can take a cotton bud (q-tip) and gently smudge to get a nice light smokey line.

4. curl your lashes.

5. apply a nice mascara, and groom your brows.

and you're done!

these are the best girls to learn from on youtube.

Okay here goes:

Step 1: Put on some eye primer

2: Put on eyeliner on top of lid (try and kind of draw a line right at the root of your eyelashes)

3. then i usually put a highlighter at on my brow bone

4. apply your eyeshadow

5.apply eyeliner on bottom and top waterline

6. put a TINY bit of eyeshadow on the lash line of your bottom lashes

7. curl those babys and mascara! All Done :-)

That's what i do anyway.
when i do my makeup i start with eyeliner, i put it on the top and bottom water line, and make a small wing where the top and bottom lid meet.

then i put mascara on

then eyeshadow (i actually use two different eyeshadows)

then i put on a final coat of mascara just to cover up any eyeshadow that may have stuck to my lashes.

[i always do most of my mascara before eyeshadow because if you mess up and get it on your eyeshadow you have to wipe it off and start all over again...]
1. Eye Cream

2. Concealer (especially when I have dark eye rings)

3. Then I work on the face powder part

4. Eyebrows

5. Shadows

6. Eyeliner (near the lashes and a little at a time. Too thick and it will smudge when I blink) I always apply on top eyelids only as I have dark eye ring problem. if you want you can apply 3/4 of the bottom lid too, leaving the 1/4 near the nose blank. But its really tricky as the bottom lid part tend to smudge at the end of the day and I will look like panda or a horror character. Sometimes I use eye shadow on bottom lid instead

7. Eye lash curler. Will curl from inside, Press and hold, proceed a little outwards, press and hold again.

8. Mascara. Best to bend the wand in a angle. Apply lash from nearest skin up. Then finish off the tips. (there are some online videos on how to apply mascaras)

9. Then I finish lips and blusher.

Hope that helps!
well, here's how i do it:

1) liquid eyeliner. black. draw a smooth line right above your top lashline (this could take some practice). At the outer corner of the eye, i like adding a little tail, sort of making a ';cat eye'; effect.

2)pencil eyeliner. black. Put it on the lower waterline, making the line thiiner in the inner corner of the eye, and bolder at the outer - where it meets the cat eye.

3)white/pearl eyeshadow. I use it in the inner corner of my eye and at the brow bone - right beneath my eyebrow. It makes your eyes look naturally, yet glamorously awake and sexy.

4) mascara. black. two coats on the top lashes and one coat on the bottom.

voila!
I think these girls will tell you more accurately than anyone here would.

Hey :)

I have been studying makeup for the past year and am now a qualified makeup artist so if there's anything you'd like to know, message me :)

When it comes makeup, there arn't many rules.. and the order in how you apply eye makeup is up to you..

But.. the way i apply my eyemake up is as follows:

1) Eyeliner - I usally apply eyeliner into the waterlines of my eyes first. I do this because it's easier to do it first rather than after the eyeshaddow and mascara as you're most likely to smudge the eyeshaddow/mascara by lifting your lids, etc.

You apply eyeliner onto the insides of the eyes by slightly lifiting your eyelids and drawing onto the line (pencil is usually easiest and less messy) and the same with the bottom waterline.

2) Eyeshaddow - I apply my eyeshaddow after i have applied the eyeliner to my waterline. It's easiest to apply eyeshaddow before mascara as you may be likely to make a mistake or want to correct it if you're trying something new like a smokey eye.. so it's easiest to apply the eyeshaddow and if you want to correct it, you can easily remove it with a makeup remover wipe without taking your mascara off. (the eyeliner wont come off if you're careful because its inside your eye)

There are many ways to apply eyeshaddow. One of the most popular is blended/smokey eye. You do this by applying a base shaddow (a light colour like white or something neutral and then blending a darker colour into the crease of your eyelid and outwards. (Youtube have many demenstations.. just look up smokey eye)

3) Eyeliner - You can now apply eyeliner to the bottom of your eye (under the waterline and on the bottom of your eyelid if you wanted to. This requires a steady hand and works best with liquid eyeliner.

4) Mascara - Mascara should be applied by twisling the wand from the roots of your eyelashes to the tips.. this will ensure a good length and thickness. Also, if you open and close your eyes while applying the mascara it also helps to thicken and lengthen them!!

Hope i have helped xx
