I am looking for some great tips on Zombie makeup?

My husband and I are going as Dead Prom Queen and Kings and we need to know how to apply the right makeup on and what materials to use. I tried the BLack and White Stage Makeup, but want something more realistic and less goofy. Scarring and such would be great. Any tips out there?I am looking for some great tips on Zombie makeup?
Think dead.

Dead and moving around.

For makeup, go with a pale yellow base, rather than white; use gray for your eyesockets and hollows of your cheeks, blending carefully. a thin line of red just under each eye (eyeliner) is pretty ghastly...your lips can also be gray, or even purple...

If you want damaged flesh effects, the cheapest way to do it is to apply layers of facial tissue with flour and water glue over the areas you want scarred, before you apply your makeup. Once the tissue layers have set, make appropriate tears in them, then gently apply the makeup, with blood or oozing goo as desired...yuck...one effective bit of makeup is to paint a double row of teeth (white greasepaint) surrounded by a jagged area of black on the side of your mouth extending towards the cheek...looks rather like your mouth is rotting off...(heh-heh)...apply a bit of the paste to your hair, and dust with talcum for that ';up from the grave'; matted look... put a phony spider or a rubber rat in there for that ';company'; look!I am looking for some great tips on Zombie makeup?
theres a gum that you can apply fake blood streaks over and create scars/slashes etc, it glistens nicely so it's scarey and it stays on...ask at your costume shop

main thing is move like a zombie...stiff and slow
