How can i look great without wearing makeup??? and hair tips?
im 12, and im aloud to wear make up, but i dont really want to, and i want a way to make my face look great without wearing makeup! how should i do that?
also i need help on hair
my hair is about 4-5 inches past my shoulders, and i like to keep it down, but it flips at the bottom during the day and gets frizzy! what should i do to make it not like that??How can i look great without wearing makeup??? and hair tips?
Try mineral veil makeup... it's a powder foundation. It gives you a natural glow. Do a google search and you should be able to find it.
Hair--- try Aveda anti humectant pomade and hair emoilliant. this works wonders.

If you want to look great without makeup...you need to keep your skin looking great by taking care if it! Wash your face twice a day with a cleanser that is hypo-allergenic. Use a toner and moisturizer. For your hair problem, try using frizz ease hair products...I heard it works. Good luck!

If you want drugstore brand, I say Almay. It's one of the few hypo-allergenic (won't cause breakouts) brands that are cheap. I've experimented with so much skin makeup, but I have found that liquid or cream foundation will look cakey and the colors will never match my real skin color.
I have found the best skin makeup line-up for myself which was to first apply Almay Mineral powder all over my face generously. Since its powder it just blends with my skin color rather than paints over it. If there are some blemishes still showing through, I get them with lightly-applied cake concealer (I go department store brand on this because its worth it.. I use perscriptives or benefit).

I agree. It's much nicer not to wear make-up, so don't wear the full works unless you HAVE to, it ruins any natural beauty you already had.
You can get your eyelashes dyed a darker colour, but I guess your mum would be against this as well, so i say use Vaseline. It makes lashes look long and glossy, and your mum wouldn't be able to tell, as the colour of your lashes wouldn't change. Its really good!
I would say keep your skin nice as possible, drink lots of water and moisturize each evening. Don't use any chemicals of scrubs because these can actually be very bad for your skin. Just gentle baby wipes are best for cleaning your face.
Stick to lip balm, if your not wearing anything else, lip gloss would look a bit daft...
If you look a bit washed out one morning and are dyeing for a blush, rub, or pinch your cheeks. That puts colour into them.
as for the others, they can be lived without anyway. I only wear mascara really. Liquid eyeliner when I'm going out to a party or the theatre or whatever, but I could do without it. Don't be too mad at your mum, you may thank her for it one day...

I would like a nice, inexpensive, liquid foundation that has great coverage,
covers acne scars well.
Or, do powder foundations (meaning it has some sort of liquid in it but in a compact) have great coverage as well?
Because I would like to stay away from the liquid because of my oily/acne prone skin, but I need the coverage badly,
any suggestions?

Revlon's Colorstay would be a good choice for you. They have different formulations for different skintypes so you should be able to find one that works for you. Having oily/acne prone skin does not mean that you can't wear liquid foundation, it just means that you need to be a bit more aware of the ingredients that go into it. Another good one to try would be Rimmel's Stay Matte foundation.

then i add either blush or bronzer and i get great coverage.

Sephora,also, has it's own brand of makeup and they have alot of fab eyeshadow colors!! I would suggest purchasing a quad that gives you 4 different shades of eyeshadow. A quad can cost appx. $5-$30.

You pay for quality when you get mac. The quality in the brushes is defined by the feel, weight, texture of the bristles, thickness of the bristles, and durability. They are worth the money but you dont' need every brush they make. By just sticking to a few staples you will get exactly what you need and won't be dissapointed. Keep in mind though that just buying expensive brushes isn't enough--you need to take care of them.
I have a few MAC brushes but I also have Sonia Kashuk(target), and Coastal scents brushes. You don't need to go all out.
As far as the makeup goes...it is worth it, at least in the eyeshadows. You can't beat their pigmentation, texture and blendabilty. NYX is a good cheaper substitute but it has a lot of fall out--still good color payoff though. I prefer Nars blushes as I think the quality is better, so you end up using less product--but you can't dupe every color. Sometimes it just comes down to settling for what you want to pay and what colors you need.What's so great about MAC makeup %26amp; brushes?
Quality. Have you ever felt a MAC brush? They are super soft. They don't shed and they last for years if you take care of it properly.

You pay for quality when you get mac. The quality in the brushes is defined by the feel, weight, texture of the bristles, thickness of the bristles, and durability. They are worth the money but you dont' need every brush they make. By just sticking to a few staples you will get exactly what you need and won't be dissapointed. Keep in mind though that just buying expensive brushes isn't enough--you need to take care of them.
I have a few MAC brushes but I also have Sonia Kashuk(target), and Coastal scents brushes. You don't need to go all out.
As far as the makeup goes...it is worth it, at least in the eyeshadows. You can't beat their pigmentation, texture and blendabilty. NYX is a good cheaper substitute but it has a lot of fall out--still good color payoff though. I prefer Nars blushes as I think the quality is better, so you end up using less product--but you can't dupe every color. Sometimes it just comes down to settling for what you want to pay and what colors you need.What's so great about MAC makeup %26amp; brushes?

When you apply foundation, walk outside in the sunlight and look at your face. Actual sunlight is the best way to see if it is a good match for your skin.
And try to avoid the ';orange'; look.

1. for a dramatic shocking look put eyeliner on BOTH the top and bottom eyelids.
2. for a less dramatic and softer look put the eyeliner right along the line of your top lashes.
mascara:
put mascara on both your top lashes and bottom lashes. curl your lashes before and after putting on mascara.
eyeshadow:
get a few colors of eyeshadow all in that same tone. like light brown, cream, gold and dark brown. put the lightest shade just under your brow. then the next lightest shade on your lid. the 3rd shade goes in your crease and the darkest just opn the outer corner of your eye lightly.
foundation:
use a liquid foundation first then finihs with a powder foundationfor an all day hold.

I don't wear tons of make-up and some days if I am home I don't wear any at all. I use to think I looked really awful without it, but when my husband told me that he preferred me without I started to think I didn't look so bad. Many young girls don't know how to apply make-up without over doing it either. When it is over done it just looks bad. Nothing bad happens when a woman goes without make-up.

2.dust sparkly eye shadow on the lid and Right below ur bottom lashes
3.put a shadow one shade darker in the crease of your eye
4.blot a little bit of white or light pink Shadow in the inner corners of ur eyes

When I put my foundation on, I put a thin layer over my lips (but put chap stick on first). It makes lipstick stay on longer and with the chap stick underneath, it keeps your lips moist and stops the lipstick from getting funky. And for mascara, I'll use clear mascara first then use my normal shade...it keeps your lashes from looking clumpy and a more natural look to them.Any great makeup tips, ladies?

when applying foundation you can choose a slightly lighter shade than your skin especially if you have oily skin as the oil in the skin will actually turns the foundation darker over time as it oxidizes.
Hair spray: sprayed 8 inches from your face wth your eyes and mouth close, hair spray will create a sealer for your makeup
do you know that sweet almond oil helps lashes grow??
if you're using a metal curler, try using a hair dryer to heat the curler's centre. like a curling iron, it will hold the curl longer. just becareful not to over heat it coz that cud be painful!
if you have glasses, use liquid eyeliner, mascara, and more blush to accentuate your features so they won't be hidden

i personally think that elizabeth arden flawless finish compacted foundation has great coverage, and no body knows your wearing any, and a brush of bronzer over will look amazing.

i personally think that elizabeth arden flawless finish compacted foundation has great coverage, and no body knows your wearing any, and a brush of bronzer over will look amazing.

How to look great without makeup?
Well unless your naturally beautiful which come on... lets admit... not most of us are (myself included!) i would do the 'no make-up look with make-up'! ;-) Just powdered foundation put on sparingly with a huge brush, lip balm, clear mascara and a blush depending on your complexion, i use petal rose pink as im blonde! ... BUT if you really want to not use any makeup at all then i suggest you get 8hrs sleep or more a night (banish those bags most of us have!), drink lots of water to hydrate your skin, use lipblam, and moisturise, moisturise, moisturise!! i never wear make up except when i go out on the town! i always clean my face twice a day. once with cleansing exfoliator and another with just a nice hot flannel. i always moisturise and keep my eyebrows always trimmed. make sure ur hair looks great =, with a nice smile u will look gorgeous!

3) Put thick moisturizer on
plus at night : use every expensive cream you have on your face + a tune of Vaseline :)

I would recommend a tinted miosturizer instead. If you have dry skin, it will be better to keep your skin moisturized and unless you have severe problems with uneven skin tone it will be sufficient to cover any minor imperfections and will never look made up--it will just look like you have healthy, radiant complexion. Also, according to my husband, foundation is kind of gross.Can someone recommend a great makeup foundation?
i got dry skin, so what i do is apply Mac Studio Fix Fluid ( http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/pr… ) .. but before applying it i apply moistrizer that is special for dry skin, i get it from a drug store nothing too expensive (try Olay) ... another foundation is Mac creamy foundation ( http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/pr… ) .. Sometimes i mix both foundations together

She has written many books on make-up and has tried every product out there and will recommend not only her product but others as well; for the most part she does not recommend the big name department store brands as they are usually overpriced due to packaging! The best book I have bought was Don't go to the Cosmetics Counter without me. Buy it used it really is a great resource. After purchasing her book I decided to try her foundation, amazing! I tend to end up oily around the ';T'; zones by the end of the day and not w/her products. Plus she doesn't have the fancy packaging to keep her costs down she keeps all her products under $15.
I tried out so many foundations in advance of my wedding and I found that MAC was so much better than anything else. It is a bit more expensive but it is defo worth it.
Also, invest in a brush to apply it, again, expensive, but they last for years and really make a difference.

If you're looking for a Tinted Moisturizer, try Laura Mercier or Stila. My friends have tried both, and I've heard good reviews. You can get either at Sephora, so you could go in there and see which one you like better.
L’Oreal True Match is a pretty good foundation if you're looking for a drugstore brand. It comes in a ton of colors so you're more than likely to find one to match yours. Also a liquid foundation.

Why not going next-to-bare with it? A natural look?
Your skin shouldn't feel sore after wearing it.
Try a loose powder foundation, like Bare Minerals.
With everything else... apply little, but enough to enhance.
Before putting on foundation, apply a gentle moisturizer and don't forget to wash your face.
Moisturizing after a wash will take away that tightness you may feel.
I use exfoliating cream, also you're never too young to start using anti-wrinkle creams too, they are great for your face, Olay Regenerist is lovely to use!
Exfoliate your skin, use moisturising cream, drink lots of water, eat healthily and your skin will be lovely!
Get tan, and try to deplete most acne
Make sure your face is not oily.
You can buy night moisturiser creams and day ones, use them and drink plenty of water!
first off, i wouldnt suggest going completely without makeup. but i can help. okay so the most important thing your gonna wanna do is get your skin looking good. thats means going outside (obviously with sun cream on) and getting a glow, cleansing properly of a night and exfoliating twice a week. moisturise and if you have acne do what you can to get rid of it.
then, when your skin is literally blemish free, i'd take a concealer and apply under your eyes where you have dark circles, and if you have a spot, just cover it up. then, apply a few strokes of mascara, and if you want but its not really necessary add a little vaseline to your lips. and im sure you'll look lovely :)
get a tube of facail mask take a shower put it on leave it for 10-15 min. rinse off with luke-warm water and wash your face everyday

You could try tinted moisteriser for your face if you need a bit of colour... if not then just go for mascara and a nude lip gloss.

first off, i wouldnt suggest going completely without makeup. but i can help. okay so the most important thing your gonna wanna do is get your skin looking good. thats means going outside (obviously with sun cream on) and getting a glow, cleansing properly of a night and exfoliating twice a week. moisturise and if you have acne do what you can to get rid of it.
then, when your skin is literally blemish free, i'd take a concealer and apply under your eyes where you have dark circles, and if you have a spot, just cover it up. then, apply a few strokes of mascara, and if you want but its not really necessary add a little vaseline to your lips. and im sure you'll look lovely :)
get a tube of facail mask take a shower put it on leave it for 10-15 min. rinse off with luke-warm water and wash your face everyday

I would recomend you get the professionaly done at a nice salon it only costs about $14. Then you can pluck the eyebrow hairs that start to come in from after that because they you have the shape and just pluck the strays.
Look in magazines and try and find an eyebrow shape that you like.
With eyeliner, draw an outline of that shape onto your own eyebrows.
With clean tweezers pluck one hair at a time away (everything outside of your outline)
With brow pencils if you really want to exaggerate your brow you can colour in lightly the lower half of your eyebrow. Your eyebrow should get thinner towards the outter corner of your eye, and the tip of your eyebrow should run down until the point it would cross if a line was drawn from the tip of your eye. Do this with a brow pencil very neatly.

Sometimes their descriptions are pretty funny too! How do you have a great look with only a few makeup tools?
Ok, I only have
1. Black Mascara
2. Kinda Glittery eye shadow
3. and glittery foundation
4. And ONLY one Brush!
I don't want a glittery look! And I don't have time to go to the store to get more makeup cause I want to look GREAT tomorrow! PLEASE help

try this... get a small plate, preferably plastic and mix your body lotion with the glittery foundation.
this should decrease the glitter rate and make ur face look less glittery. also, your eye shadow, try putting some of your mascara onto a Q-tip, then some eye shadow and putting it on that way. this way, the black eye shadow will cover the glitter and you will have that matte eye shadow look that always looks great

But no where else, except maybe neck anyways. then take the eye shadow and put it underneath your eye and on thetop then put the mascara on top and bottom which should look perfect = ) remember nevertoo much mascara
